Product Enhancement

CommercePro Product Enhancement

A product enhancement can be applied during the sales order process and carried with the order through the manufacturing and fulfillment process. Common uses include services for engraving, embroidery, or monogramming.

Enable this Feature

  1. Go to the Inventory workspace.

  2. Click Non-Stock Items, under the Profiles menu.

  3. Click (+) to create a non-stock item for a product enhancement.

  4. Name the non-stock item an enhancement type (gift wrapping, engraving, or monogramming).

  5. Click Save.

All line-item enhancements require an Inventory ID to be created in the Stock Items screen.

How to Apply

  1. Create a Sales Order.

  2. Add Stock Items.

  3. To assign an enhancement, highlight the Stock Item row.

  4. Click the Line Item Enhancement button.

    • The Line Enhancement pop-up window will appear.

  5. Select an Inventory ID for the enhancement.

  6. Click OK.

  7. Enter the quantity for the enhancement (e.g., Monogramming four (4) hand towels will require four product enhancements).

  8. Click Save.

Line Item Enhancements are Stock Items that are added to a primary Stock Item.

  • Line Item Enhancements can be added to Kit Items, Grouped Products, and Bundled Products.

Add an Enhancement to a Kit

  1. Go to the Inventory workspace.

  2. Select Kit Specifications, under the Profiles menu.

  3. Create a kit, then add child stock items.

  4. Click Save.

  5. Go to the Sales Orders workspace.

  6. Create a sales order for a Kit item.

  7. Highlight the inventory row for the Kit item.

  8. Click the Line Enhancement button.

    1. The Add Enhancement pop-up window will appear.

  9. Select the Inventory ID for the enhancement.

    1. The Kit Component drop-down field will appear.

  10. Select a Kit Component (i.e. child item) you want the enhancement assigned.

  11. Click OK.

    • The line enhancement will appear in the sales order table grid.

Users may add a line enhancement to each child item in the kit.

 Add an Enhancement to Grouped and Bundled Products

  1. Go to the Inventory workspace.

  2. Click Composite Stock Items, under the Profiles menu.

  3. Create or open an existing Bundle or Grouped product.

    1. For this step, use Bundle Product.

  4. Click the Bundle Product tab.

  5. Ensure all stock item options for the bundle, including inventory ID’s for the stock item options are mapped accurately and saved.

  6. Go to the Sales Orders workspace.

  7. Create a new sales order.

  8. Select an Inventory ID for a bundle product.

    1. The Composite Items Configuration Lookup will appear.

  9. Select an Available Options from the table grid.

  10. Select the product for each Option Title.

  11. Enter the Min Require Qty.

  12. Click Add & Close.

    1. The mapped child items for the bundle will appear on the Document Details tab, unmapped child items will not.

    2. Make sure all bundle items you want visible have been mapped on the Composite Stock Items screen.

  13. Highlight the child stock item to assign an enhancement.

    1. The Add Enhancement pop-up window will appear.

  14. Select the Inventory ID for the enhancement.

  15. Select the child stock item from the Kit Component field.
